Thanksgiving Holiday Travel Weather

If you are traveling for or just after Thanksgiving, keep an eye on the weather.  Even a short trip could mean dealing with wind, rain and even snow.  National Weather Service Meteorologist Scott Blair says wind and rain will be the big factors tonight and Wednesday.

Blair says Thursday morning will bring round two.

If you are heading north and northwest for Thanksgiving, you will have to deal with snow, and possibly significant amounts of snow.

For those traveling after thanksgiving, those headed north and northwest will find significant snow on the ground, but the snowfall will be tapering off through Friday and into Saturday.

Blair says overall, use good cautious winter driving practices if you will be on the roads over the next several days.
