Chillicothe Police Report For Wednesday

Chillicothe Police responded to 112 calls for service Wednesday.

1:17 am, Commercial business alarm in the 400 block of S. Washington Street.  Premises checked and found secure.

4:35 am, Reported debris in the roadway near Peacher and Clay Street.   Debris was tree limb blown down by the wind.

5:01 am, Report of a suspicious person in the alleyway in the 1000 block of Polk Street.  Officers unable to locate anyone.

7:43 am, Doors observed open on the Bethel A.M.E. Church at Forest Drive and Irving.  Officers checked the building and found OK.  Doors possibly blown open by high winds.

7:58 am, Officer removed debris from the roadway at Third and Washington Streets.

9:12 am, Officers responded to the 1000 block of Graves Street for a reported shoplifting.  The person left the scene in a vehicle that was later located at Waples and Cowgill Streets.  They had left the vehicle and Officers were unable to locate them.

10:43 am, Officer spoke with someone on phone about a person that was knocking on their door, but she wasn’t home and she was concerned about them.

10:47 am, Officers located and arrested a suspect from the earlier shoplifting incident in the 1000 block of Graves Street.  The suspect was processed, cited and released.

12:48 pm, Officer made a traffic stop of a vehicle with expired plates in the 2600 block of Shawnee Drive.  The operator was cited for failure to register and for no insurance.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

12:56 pm, Report of doors open on an unoccupied house in the 900 block of Calhoun Street.  Officers checked the premises and all was OK.

6:08 pm, Report of C&I vehicle in the area of Jackson and Washington Street.  Officers unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

11:24 pm, Report of a fight at a business in the 600 block of Webster Street.  Involved parties were contacted and neither party wished to pursue prosecution.
