CRP and Conservation Program Meetings

Landowner meetings to discuss CRP options and conservation programs will be held later this month in area counties.  The programs are presented by Pheasants Forever/ Quail Forever, the Missouri Department of Conservation, the Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Farm Service Agency.

The programs are designed to provide landowners information on the many options of CRP and other conservation programs and will highlight the updated rental rates.  Information on field eligibility and NRCS programs will also be presented.  Those interested in stopping erosion, increasing habitat for wildlife or learning about financial assistance for conservation efforts, are encouraged to talk to your local Farm Bill Wildlife Biologist or attend the meetings.

The two meetings in the local area will be held for Sullivan, Grundy, and Mercer counties.  they include:

Tuesday, January 21st, a meeting will be held at the Sullivan County Community Center at 6:00 pm. Refreshments will be provided.

Tuesday, January 28th, a meeting for Grundy and Mercer counties will be held in the Basement of the Alexander Student Center on the NCMC campus in Trenton, MO at 6:00 pm.  Refreshments will be provided.

There is no charge for participating, but it is requested that participants RSVP by contacting Joshua Marshall, at 660-425-2770.
