Two bridges near Chillicothe that are on the Governor’s “Focus On Bridges” as slated to begin the construction phase as early as next month
The projects were put out to bid in August of 2019.  In September, the Missouri Transportation and Highways Commission awarded a $4.1 million dollar contract for the US 65 bridge to Radmacher Brothers Excavating Co., Inc. They also awarded the nearly $3.5 million dollar contract for the Highway 190 bridge to Comanche Construction, Inc.
The Missouri Department of Transportation timeline for the projects includes work starting no sooner than March, and the work completed in the month of December. Both projects are expected to require traffic to be limited to a single lane of traffic, with traffic control devices in place or flaggers.
There may also be periods when the bridges could be closed for the pouring of concrete.
Additional information will be released as the projects are ready to begin.
