Chillicothe Police Report For The Weekend

The Chillicothe Police responded to nearly 190 calls for service over the weekend.  The calls included:

Sunday, there were 79 calls for service:

1:22 AM, officers arrested a man for Driving While Intoxicated.

10:11 AM, Officers responded to the 1100 block of Cooper for a well-being check. Officers found the subject to be ok.

10:50 AM, Officers responded to the 1200 block of Washington Street on a report of stealing.  They arrested a woman for shoplifting.

12:59 PM. Officers were called to the area of Locust and John F. Kennedy for a subject with an outstanding warrant. They arrested a man, who was later held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

2:51 pm, Officers responded to a fire alarm in the 1300 block of Monroe.  It was a false alarm.

5:36 pm, Officers responded to the 400 block of Locust for illegal dumping. The suspects were contacted and told it was not a public dumpster.

 

Saturday  – 110 calls

12:56am, Officers responded to a noise complaint at 400 block of Polk Street.  Officers contacted was made with residence manager who took care of complaint.

3:44am, Officer sawa vehicle traveling on the wrong side of US 36.  Officers stopped the vehicle and found the driver to be confused.  Authorities and family in another state were contacted and advised.

5:41am, Officer stood by at accident scene east of Chillicothe on US 36 for a tractor-trailer that had blown a tire, clipped a bridge and was now in the ditch.  No injuries.

7:39am, Officer checked report of someone walking in the roadway by the Armory, heading southbound on Washington Street.  Officer checked and observed no one.

8:02am, Officers checked on someone acting strangely in the 800 block of W. Business 36.  Subject was found to be a tenant at local motel and returned to motel.

4:35pm, Officer assisted Emergency Services with a grass fire in a back yard in the 500 block of Grandview.  Fire was extinguished.

5:14pm, A bicycle that was stolen a few days ago, was found at a location on Henry Street and returned to the owner.

8:11pm, Complaint of kids playing in Edgewood Cemetery.

10:42pm, Possible domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Clay Street.  Determined to be verbal only.

11:17pm, Reported disturbance in the 600 block of Webster Street.  Determined to be subjects not leaving property when asked.
