Motorcyclist Who Eluded State Troopers Arrested In Livingston County

A man who fled from State Troopers on a motorcycle at speeds that topped 130 miles an hour, was arrested by Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Chief Deputy Michael Claypole saw the motorcycle with a passenger on US 36 in western Livingston County and truck traffic on the Highway hindered the motorcycle which was eventually stopped.

K-9 Zaki was called to the scene and alerted to the odor of drugs, and as a result, officers seized an estimated 12 grams of methamphetamine and 3 grams of black tar heroin.

The driver was identified as 35-year-old Shaun Allen Mindham (right) of Blue Springs.  Mindham had outstanding warrants from Johnson County.  He was also charged with 2 counts of alleged Possession of Controlled Substance and remains in the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail with bond set at $10,000.

The passenger 32-year-old Jennifer Joy Jett of Belton, was arrested on Jackson County warrants and she was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail pending extradition.

The Motorcycle was seized and the Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren has filed seeking forfeiture of the vehicle.
