Governor Parson Announces First Phase To Re-Open Missouri

The first step in a plan to re-open Missouri’s economy beginning May 4th was laid out by Governor Mike Parson as part of his Briefing Monday.  The Governor says the plan is more like a turning of a dial, not a flip of a switch.  He says some areas of the state will be able to open faster than others.

Governor Parson announces that on May 4th the next phase begins.

Missouri Department of Economic Development Director Rob Dixon talked about the plan to reopen the state.

The State of Missouri has provided guidance that will help communities and businesses to re-open.

The plan also allows medical facilities to resume elective medical procedures.

Phase one begins May 4th and will run through May 31st.  Governor Parson says the key to success is to continue to maintain social distancing and good hygiene practices.
