Chillicothe Police Report For Thursday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 80 calls for service Thursday and report several investigations.  The report includes a dog bite, an accident and an arrest.

12:57 am, Officers responded to a noise disturbance in the 900 block of Vine Street.   They arrived to find a vehicle that appeared to have struck several utility poles in an alley… after investigating, a man was arrested for Careless and Imprudent Driving and Driving While Intoxicated.   The male was processed at the Police Department and released on citations and a court date.

9:50 am, Officer transported someone to a medical facility in St. Joseph for evaluation and treatment.

10:48 am, Officer at PD spoke with someone about a possible phone scam.  Determined to be a legitimate dealing.

12:17 pm, Officers out in the 1600 block of Springhill Street to perform a well-being check.  Was determined that the subject was not home.

2:12 pm, Officers out at business in the 200 block of E. Jackson Street on a compliance check.  Only workers present.  No business transactions.

2:40 pm, Officer located signage on Mitchell Rd. that belong at a location on Route V, near East Street.  Attempts were made to contact the owners.

5:16 pm, Officer responded to Lowe’s Acres to assist Emergency Services for an accident involving a golf cart.  The person was transported to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.  No report was taken.

7:04 pm, Report of dog bite having occurred in the 1500 block of Calhoun Street and the victim being taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.  The victim is the brother-in-law of the owner.  Report and photos taken for investigation.
