Monday’s Chillicothe Police Report

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to numerous calls for service Monday.

5:26 AM, Officers responded to the 600 block of Bus Hwy 36 for a woman who was loitering at the business all night.  After an evaluation, the woman was transported to a mental health facility by court order.

9:21 AM, Officers responded to the 1000 block of Graves Street for a single-vehicle accident.  No injuries were reported.

9:52 AM, Officers responded to the 300 block of Calhoun Street for a report of theft of a Chainsaw. If you have any information about the theft please contact the Chillicothe PD.

12:44 PM, Officers responded to the area of Walnut and Ann Street for a reported illegal burning.  Officers contacted a male subject who agreed to put the fire out.

1:34 PM, Officers responded to a business located in the 1200 block of Washington St, Chillicothe, MO 64601, for a report of stealing. Officer identified a suspect who was taken into custody.   The man stated that he did not want to wait in line because of COVID19 issues so he helped himself and walked out of the store.

4:35 PM, Officers responded to the 200 block of S Washington Street for a report of theft of newly purchased tools.  The owner stated a man entered his truck and stole the tools.  And a woman ran from the business door and got into the driver’s seat of a newer Jeep and left the parking lot quickly.  The owner attempted to follow and stay with the vehicle, but there was too much traffic in the area.

8:39 PM, Officers responded to the 200 block of Southwest Drive for a dog at Large.  Officers caught the dog and later located the dog owner.  The Dog was returned.
