Chillicothe Police Department’s Report For Friday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 67 calls for service Friday and made one arrest.

2:33 am, Officers out with a vehicle at the Vo-Tech lot.  Young couple talking.  They were advised to leave the property and one subject was taken home.

2:58 am, Officers stopped a vehicle at Clay & Cherry Streets, who was going the wrong way on one way.  They were issued a warning.

9:36 am, Report of an animal stuck in a sump pump in the 1200 block of Bryan Street.  Officer checked and located a stuck raccoon.  They freed the animal and took it to edge of town for release.

10:12 am, Officer responded to the 200 block of E. Jackson and took a report of property damage to a pickup truck that was parked on a business lot.

2:12 pm, A subject came to the PD and turned themselves in on a City of Chillicothe municipal warrant for failure to appear.  They posted bond and were released.

4:12 pm, Officer assisted Children’s Division by checking well-being of child in 300 block of Polk Street.  Child determined to be OK.

7:36 pm, Complaint in 200 block of Williams Street about a dog in a yard and the owner won’t come get the dog.  Contact was made with the owner and his dog retrieved.

8:39 pm, Report of subject in the 1300 block of Monroe Street in need of assistance with mental issues.  Subject was voluntarily taken to Hedrick Medical Center for assistance.

8:55 pm, Report of open burning violation at Ridgecrest and Morningside Drive.  Officers contacted the subject and advised him of the violation that he was burning too close to a structure.  The fire was put out.
