The Chillicothe Hornets Soccer team picked up a 3-1 win Saturday afternoon at Mexico.
In the first half, Chace Corbin scored off a Mason Baxter assist in the 7th minute. Caleb Vance scored off a Ben Cueni-Smith assist off a Corner Kick in the 37th minute in the first half.
In the second half Chillicothe extended their lead to 3-0 in the 64th minute with Corbin’s second goal and Baxter’s second assist.
Mexico scored late in the game in the 76th minute. Â Hornets Goalkeeper Jaxon Albertson had six saves on goal.
Coach Tim Cunningham called it a great bounce back game with a great team effort in very windy conditions.
Cunningham called Mexico a very good team, and said the Hornet midfielders played an excellent game.
