Opening Weekend Deer Harvest

The opening weekend of the Missouri Firearm Deer Season is complete, and there were more and 80,500 deer harvested.  The Missouri Department of Conservation says that is down about 10% from last year.  The breakdown of this year’s opening season includes:  48,695 antlered bucks, 6,867 button bucks, and 24,963 does.

Top harvest counties this year for opening weekend were Howell with 1,499 deer harvested, Bollinger with 1,453, and Franklin with 1,446.

The November portion of the Firearm Deer season in Missouri runs through November 24th.
