Chillicothe Police Report For Monday

Chillicothe Police responded to 126 calls for service Monday.  Some of the calls include:

12:33 AM, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of Third Street.  Officers reported the disturbance to be verbal and no arrests were made.  About 40 minutes later, the officers were called to return to the same location for a disturbance.  The disturbance was again verbal and one party left for the night.

5:12 PM, Officers responded to a two-vehicle non-injury accident in the 500 block of South Washington.  A driver hit another vehicle while exiting a parking lot.

6:37 PM, Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 800 block of Business 36.  One vehicle made an improper turn, hitting the other vehicle.  Major damage was reported to one of the vehicles.  One driver sought medical care.  The driver making the improper turn was cited.

7:48 PM, Officer made a traffic stop at Second Street and Cherry Street.  The officer reported the vehicle briefly stopped, then took off at a high rate of speed, and the officer lost sight of the vehicle.  A short time later a resident in the 400 block of Cherry Street contacted officers and reported the vehicle and been driven into the side of a small outbuilding in the back of the resident’s yard and was abandoned.  The driver fled the scene but was identified by local business security cameras and located in the 400 block of Monroe Street attempting to evade arrest.  A 21-year-old man was taken into custody for driving while revoked, resisting arrest, failing to register a motor vehicle, no insurance, property damage, and on a Linn County warrant for failing to appear on a charge of trespassing.  He was held a the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
