Thompson River Bridge – 100th of Governor’s Initiative

The 100th bridge in Governor Mike Parson’s Focus On Bridges initiative opened today, and that bridge is in Livingston County.  The Highway 190 Bridge over the Thompson River opened to two-way traffic Friday morning.  The nearly $3.5 million dollar bridge reconstruction began in March and the road closed twice for the pouring of concrete for the new bridge deck.

The bridge was built in 1964 and sees approximately 1,164 vehicles travel across it each day. The bridge deck replacement will provide a smoother riding surface and brings bridge barriers and guardrail up to current standards.

The work was completed by Comanche Construction at a cost of $3,468,748.
