Main Street Holiday Lighting Until End Of January

The lighting on the buildings in Down Town Chillicothe will remain lit through the end of January.  Main Street Director Pam Jarding says they had received numerous requests to leave the buildings lit in the Main Street district.

Jarding says the lighting of the buildings has been a project of Main Street Chillicothe for several years and during the holidays has created an even more beautiful downtown, complimented by the lit snowflakes hanging on the poles.  The snowflakes are owned by the Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce and they partner each year with the Chillicothe Municipal Utilities who put the snowflakes on the poles and take them down.

The lights will come back on in November as the downtown begins the holiday shopping season.  We will also at that time leave the lights lit until the end of January 2022.

Main Street Chillicothe also reminds those that purchased Memory Tree Bulb(s) and would like their bulbs, they should contact the Main Street office at 646-4071 or 816-806-8194 for arrangements to pick up the bulb. The deadline for the request is January 27th.
