Many area residents received their first round of the COVID 19 vaccine last week. They will return for the second round in a couple of weeks.
After receiving the second injection what will those people need to do? Will they still need to continue with the same precautions?
Ann Burchett from the Livingston County Health Center says YES!
She says they need many more people vaccinated before we can relax.
Burchett says there are differing opinions on the effectiveness of the vaccine on the new strains or variations of the virus.
The Livingston County Health Center is working to bring additional doses of the vaccine to the local area. Announcements will be made and those signed up will be notified when they become available.
