The work on the new playground at Simpson Park is underway and Parks Director Josh Norris says the work is progressing well.
This new playground is near the restrooms on the northeast part of the park, just a bit north of the current playground. Norris says this will not replace all of the current playground.
Norris says they hope to see this project done before early summer.
Weather will be a factor in completing the project.
