Chillicothe’s 68th Pre-Easter Laypersons Services will begin March 29th, continuing throughout the week. . The non-denominational services will be held each day this week at First Christian Church, at 900 Jackson St. Darrell Rinehart from the organizing committee says they invite the community to come together for these services.
The church has requested masks be worn while in the sanctuary. They have also stated there will be no congregational singing.
Rinehart says, while the services are held at First Christian Church, they will be lead by a different church each day.
The Chillicothe Pre-Easter Laypersons Services began in 1952 to bring men of all denominations together to worship in the Easter Season. Several years later it was open to all and the tradition continues.
