Two were injured In an Accident when the driver fell asleep.
A single-vehicle accident Monday afternoon in Daviess County left the driver and a 2-year-old child with minor injuries State Troopers report 25-year-old Tyler Barnes of St. Joseph was westbound on Route T near Pattonsburg, when he fell asleep and crossed the centerline, running off the left side of the road and colliding with the ditch.
Barnes and the two-year-old passenger were taken to Cameron Regional Hospital for treatment. Barnes was not wearing a safety belt, but the child was properly restrained.
State Troopers made two arrests in the area counties.
At about 8:55 pm Monday in Grundy County, Troopers arrested 42-year-old Timothy Kempton of Trenton for alleged DWI with drugs. He was processed and released.
At about 3:20 this morning, Troopers in Carroll County arrested 28-year-old Eric T Colborn of Carrollton for alleged DWI and failing to drive in the right lane. He was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital and released.
