Economic Development Money for Laclede

The City of Laclede is awarded a half-million dollars for street projects.

Missouri’s Department of Economic Development or DED, announced the awarding of more than $15.8 million to 38 recipients through its Community Development Block Grant Program.  The funding is to help communities with infrastructure improvement and other projects.

Funded projects include the construction or repair of roads and bridges, building community facilities, demolishing blighted or vacant structures, and more.

Department of Economic Development Director Rob Dixon said “Expanding and maintaining our state’s infrastructure is essential to economic development.” “These projects are keeping our communities strong and preparing them for new opportunities in the months and years ahead.”

For the City of Laclede, the project includes street improvements for Pershing Drive and Cole, Prairie, Vernon, Olive, and Pleasant Streets.
