Flooding Continues Into The Weekend

Flood warnings on the Grand River have been extended into the holiday weekend.

For the Grand River at Chillicothe, the latest crest was 24.63 feet Thursday evening and the flooding is expected to continue through midday today before the river falls back below flood stage of 24 feet.

At Sumner, the river is rising again.  The river level had dropped to 33.7 feet, but this morning it is at 34.68 feet.  Flooding is expected to continue into early Saturday morning.  Flood stage at Sumner is 26 feet.

At Brunswick, the river continues to slowly fall back towards flood stage of 19 feet.  The reading Wednesday night was 23.5 feet.  Flooding is expected to continue until Saturday morning.
