Bird Knocks Out Trenton’s Power Thursday Night

The City of Trenton was without power for nearly an hour Thursday night.  City Administrator Ron Urton says the power went out about 11:50 pm.  City utility crews responded to the electric plant substation to get a large bird out of the NW Electric transformer.  The bird had gotten into the system and caused a breaker to trip and knock out the power.  Crew members checked for damage and reset the breaker.  The city was without power for about 50 minutes.
