Chillicothe Police Report For Wednesday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 77 calls for service Wednesday.  Some of the calls included traffic stops, continuing investigations, and building security checks.

4:53 am, Officers assisted Livingston County Sheriff’s Department on a suspicious activity call at a home on LIV 247.

7:59 am, Officers responded to a 3 vehicle crash at Ryan Lane and Washington Street.  All vehicles were southbound on Washington and in the same lane.  The rear vehicle struck the vehicle in front of it which in turn pushed that vehicle into the rear of the third vehicle.  The vehicle initiating the chain reaction was cited for following too close.

2:10 pm, Officers took a report of a Semi-truck striking traffic signal at Webster and Washington Street when it was making a turn.  MoDOT was notified of the incident and vehicle information obtained.  No injuries were reported.

3:49 pm, Officers out in the 1000 block of S. Washington Street on a recovered stolen vehicle investigation.  Vehicle had been reported as stolen from Macon.

7:28 pm, Resident on Cooper Street calling that dogs on Polk Street barking, disturbing neighborhood.  Officer contacted dog owners about the complaint.

9:01 pm, Officer stopped a vehicle for a registration violation and determined that the driver was suspended and not insured.  The driver was arrested, processed, cited and released.

9:16 pm, The owner of a stolen vehicle that had been recovered in the 1000 block of S. Washington, came to the police department to reclaim the vehicle.
