Troopers Report Two Accidents And An Arrest

The Missouri Highway Patrol handled two accidents in the local counties over the weekend and made one arrest.

Saturday at about 12:50 am, Troopers in Livingston County responded to a semi that hit a bridge on US 36, at Coon Creek.  The driver, 23-year-old Benjamin Mujovic of Kentucky, ran off the road, struck the bridge and guardrail before the truck overturned onto the driver’s side.  He was taken to Hedrick Medical Center with minor injuries.

At 4:50 pm in Chariton County, A three-vehicle accident on Route E near Rothville left one driver with moderate injuries.  State Troopers report A Marcelin woman, 33-year-old Kristen K Lee, made a u-turn and was struck by a UTV driven by 23-year-old Dylon Ewigman of Marceline, Ewigman ran off the road and struck a parked vehicle.  Ewigman was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

Troopers in Sullivan County arrested a Kirksville man At about 9:40 pm Saturday.  Thirty-three-year-old Timothy Lee of Kirksville was arrested for alleged DWI and Speeding.  He was processed and released.
