Chillicothe Police Report Includes Accidents and Arrests

Nearly 250 calls for service were answered by the Chillicothe Police Department for the weekend.  Those calls include:

 

Friday, October 29th

12:23 a.m., Officers assisted Deputies with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office with a well-being check in the 1800 block of Clay St.  Officers discovered the person needed assistance and was transported to a hospital.

1:55 a.m., Officers discovered an unsecured door to a business in the 2800 block of Grand Dr. while conducting business checks.  Officers did not discover anyone inside the business.  The business was checked by management and secured.

3:16 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle non-injury traffic crash where one vehicle left the scene in the 1100 block of Oak St.  Officers responded and received information about the vehicle that left.  Officers later located the vehicle and a 51-year-old man was arrested for leaving the scene of a crash.  He was processed at the Police Department and released.

8:27 p.m., Officers concluded an investigation for animal offenses in the 1800 block of Fairchild Dr.  Officers issued the owner citations for failing to get annual City License.

10:08 p.m., Officers were dispatched to possible drug use in the 200 block of N. Washington St.  Officers arrested a juvenile for possession of tobacco.  The juvenile was transported to the Police Department and later released to their guardian.  The information will be forwarded to the Livingston County Juvenile Office.

 

Saturday, October 30th

12:47 p.m., Officers conducted a well-being check in the 3000 block of Comanche Dr.  Officers found the person needed assistance and was transported to a hospital.

2:07 p.m., Officers were dispatched to shoplifting in the 1000 block of Graves St.  Officers arrested a man who was processed and released.

6:59 p.m., Officers took a report of violation of a protection order in the 200 block of Calhoun St.  A 41-year-old man was arrested and held at the Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail.

9:34 p.m., Officers took a report of assault which occurred in the 600 block of W. Bus. 36 Hwy.  The investigation is on-going.

 

Sunday, October 31st

4:54 a.m., Officers responded to a report of intoxicated juveniles in the 300 block of Jackson St.  Officers contacted the caller who stated their child was under the influence of alcohol.  While Officers were there, two juveniles attempted to flee but were caught by Officers.  Officers took the juveniles into custody and they were transported to the Police Department.  The parents of the juveniles were contacted along with the Juvenile Officer.

1:42 p.m., Officers took a report of domestic assault in the 600 block of Boehner Pl.  The investigation is on-going.

6:04 p.m., Officers took a report of a stolen vehicle in the 300 block of S. Washington St.  The investigation is on-going.
