October Unemployment Report

The Unemployment rate for Livingston County is up slightly following the slight increase for September.  In October, Livingston County’s Unemployment rate is 2.2%, up from 2.1% in September.  In October 2020, the rate was 2.5%.

Looking at the area counties, from lowest to highest…

Daviess…………. 2.1%, down from 2.6%

Chariton…………. 2.1%, up from 1.8%

Livingston………. 2.2%, up from 2.1%

Grundy………….. 2.6%, up from 2.2%

Caldwell…………. 2.8%, down from 4.3%

Carroll…………… 2.9%, down from 3.0%

Linn………………. 3.2%, up from 3.0%

Sullivan………….. 3.4%, up from 3.0%

The State of Missouri’s Unemployment rate dropped to 2.8%, and the national rate fell to 4.3%.
