Chillicothe Police Report For Tuesday

Several accidents and arrests are in the Chillicothe Police report for Tuesday.

1:53 am, Officers checked on a vehicle parked in a lot of a closed business in the 1000 block of South Washington Street.  The vehicle was unoccupied, extensively damaged, and had a license plate from a reported stolen vehicle.  Computer checks were unable to determine the actual owner of this unregistered vehicle and it was towed from the scene.

9:54 am, Officers arrested a 40-year-old resident in the 100 block of Central Street for Fraud/Stealing by fraudulently opening a go-fund-me account on social media, obtaining contributions for a stated purpose, and then using the obtained funds for personal gain instead of the stated purpose.  He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

10:43 am, Report from business in the 800 block of W. Business 36 highway of a suspicious vehicle on their lot.  The vehicle was coming and going.  Officers checked the vehicle and determined that the vehicle had improper registration and the plates were seized and turned in to the License Office.

11:44 am, a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot in the 1200 block of N. Washington Street.  No injuries reported

11:55 am, a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot in the 1000 block of Graves Street.  No injuries reported.

 

12:36 pm, Officers responded to the intersection of Mitchell Avenue and East Bound Highway 36 for a two-vehicle crash involving tractor-trailers.   Both vehicles were towed due to damages and one person was injured.   Citations were issued.

 

4:19 pm, Officers responded to the intersection of Business 36 and Washington Street for a report of a two motor vehicle crash.   Both vehicles were towed due to damages received.   There were no reported injuries.  Citations issued.

 

5:04 pm, Subject calling to report they had a subject on a bicycle strike their vehicle and then ride off from Polk and Washington Streets.
