The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 124 calls for service Wednesday.  Some of the calls include:

12:11 pm, Officers out at home in the 800 block of Elm Street on report of possible stealing.  The investigation is continuing.

3:06 pm, Reported hit and run in 1000 block of Graves Street.  Information for report received and investigation continuing.

4:36 pm, Report of a line down at 190 and Hornet Road.  Officers secured line and notified MoDOT.

7:11 pm, Subject reports that a glass globe from decorative light pole in the 700 block of N. Washington(west side) has been blown off and has broken at curb of street.  Street Dept. will be notified in the A.M.

8:26 pm, Receiving numerous calls on odor of smoke permeating area, all over town.  Officers on patrol observing haze all over town and also smoke smell.  No fires observed at any location.  Is believed to be wind-blown from fires in Kansas City area.

Numerous tree limbs have been downed in the wind and loose items blown about all over town.   If you’re missing items from your property, check at your neighbors, they could have blown there!!.

9:42 pm, Officer stopped a vehicle at Clay and Washington Streets for displaying blue lights forward on the vehicle and was also found to not have insurance.  The driver was warned on the lights and cited for no insurance.

10:56 pm, Officers out in the 1000 block of S. Washington Street for possible theft.
