With the holiday break over, Chillicothe High School sports teams return to action this week.
On Tuesday the girls and boys basketball teams host Lawson for a doubleheader.
On Thursday the 6th, the Hornet Boys play at St Joseph Bishop LeBlond.
On Friday the 7th the Lady Hornets host the currently 10-1 Bishop LeBlond team.
On Saturday the wrestlers return to action after an extended holiday break when they compete in the Cameron Duels Tournament.
The brackets have been released for the annual Lawson Basketball Tournament.
The Chillicothe Lady Hornets are the #1 seed and face Penney of Hamilton on Monday the 10th at 5:30pm at the new Barker Center gym. The boys teams from the same schools will play at the Barker Center with Chillicothe the #3 seed at 6:45 on the 10th.
Other tournament seeds for the girls are West Platte #2, North Platte #2, Lawson #4, Trenton #5, Richmond #6 and Gallatin #7.
For the boys bracket Richmond is the #1 seed, West Platte #2, Gallatin #4, Lawson #5, Cristo Rey #7 and Trenton #8.
Lawson now has two gyms with both being used at the same time.
