The Missouri Highway Patrol reports a few accidents and arrests for the start of the new year.
Saturday at about 8:17 am, Troopers arrested 22-year-old Julian Chavez-Estrada for alleged DWI and Careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident. He was cited and released for treatment. The accident happened on Highway 5, south of Milan, as Chavez-Estrada was southbound, ran off the road, and struck a tree. He was treated for moderate injuries at Sullivan County Memorial Hospital.
In Carroll County, an accident at about 10:15 am Saturday left 23-year-old Hailey M Mattive Smith of Norborne with moderate injuries.. the report state she was westbound on Route FF at highway 10, ran off the road, and struck the ditch. She was treated at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
At about 2:05 pm Saturday in Linn County, An accident on US 36 near Brookfield left two injured. 19-year-old Kerryann Schuch if Naperville, IL was eastbound and lost control. She ran off the right side of the road and her car overturned. She had moderate injuries and her passenger, Vivian T Woolery of Arizona, had minor injuries. They were treated at Pershing Memorial Hospital.
Saturday at about 6:10 pm, Troopers in Linn County arrested 35-year-old Christopher A Moseley of St. Louis for alleged Driving While Revoked. He was processed and released.
