Grant Helps To Replace Chimes In Downtown Chillicothe

The chimes that had been missing from downtown Chillicothe are back, thanks to a grant by local foundations.  Main Street Director Pam Jarding says the Carillon system quit working more than a year ago.

Jarding says they replaced the entire system thanks to a grant of just over $10,000 from the Ira G. and Minnie B. Hedrick Foundation and the James Albrittan Lawson Foundation

Jarding says besides for just the Peals and Tolls, there is a range of music selections for holidays, patriotic, and traditional music that is done to the sound of bells.
