Deputies Assist Other Agencies – Make Arrests

Two pursuits with other agencies resulted in arrests over the weekend.

The Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox says deputies responded to a call on Sunday for assistance from Caldwell County as they were chasing a stolen car out of Independence, which was eastbound on US 36.

The call came in just after midnight, and a deputy near Utica successfully deployed spike strips that flattened one tire.  Chillicothe Police also deployed spike strips that flattened another tie and brought the chase to an end, with deputies arresting 40-year-old Bobbie Jo Harter without further incident.  She was released to the Caldwell County Sheriff.

Sunday evening, The CPDrequested assistance in tracking an individual that fled on foot after running from a traffic stop. Officers and deputies tracked the suspect in the snow and arrested 37-year-old Truitt Matthew Caudill of Wheeling on a Missouri Parole Warrant and other charges including alleged methamphetamine violation(s), resisting arrest and traffic offenses.
