Hornets Track and Field Teams Dominate at Jack McCush Relays

The Chillicothe girls and boys track and field teams were both in competition at the Jack McCush Relays at Boonville High School on Thursday.

The girls team took home 7 top finishes including:

 

1st  in the 400 meter dash for Kayanna Cranmer – 1:02.8

1st in the 1600 meter run for Jolie Bonderer – 5:54.16

1st in the 4×800 meter relay for Bonderer, Cranmer, Kadence Shipers and Kayla Cakranata. – 11:06.19

 

2nd in the 3200 meter run for Shipers – 13:38.02

2nd in the 100 meter hurdles for Emmy Dillion – 17.85

2nd in javelin for Hope Helton – 30.10 meters

3rd in the 4x400m relay for Bonderer, Cranmer, Anna Pfaff and Bronlyn Ward – 4:27.23

The boys team had 13 top 3 finishes including:

 

1st  in the 300 meter hurdles for Braxten Johnson – 42.90

1st  for Damarus Kelow in shot put (14.59 meters) and discus (42.46 meters)

1st  in javelin for Isaiah Sprong – 43.50 meters

 

2nd in 200 meter dash for Quentin Cranmer – 24.14

2nd in 3200 meter run for Cain Evans – 4:59.81

2nd in 110 meter hurdles for Braxten Johnson – 15.90

2nd in 4×200 meter relay for Javon Kille, Charles Walker, Johnson and Cranmer – 1:38.24

2nd in javelin for Cy Evans – 42.73 meters

2nd in pole vault for Gavin Funk – 3.35 meters

 

3rd for Cain Evans in 1600 meter run – 4:59.81

3rd for Tristan Forck in High Jump – 1.80 meters

3rd for Javon Kille in Triple Jump – 12.80 meters

 

As a team, the girls program finished 2nd behind Cameron High School with 104 team points, and the boys squad took 1st with 138 team points.
