Sewer Repairs At The Police Department To Move Ahead Quickly

Waiving the formal bid process for repairs to the sewer lines at the Chillicothe Police Department was approved by the Chillicothe City Council in a special session Monday afternoon.  The council approved the bid of nearly $28,500 from Constant and Sons Digging, along with Skipper and Kearns Plumbing contractors.  Mayor Theresa Kelly and City Clerk Roze Frampton say the work will involve tearing up the floor in the police Department and replacing the sewer pipes.

The work will begin as soon as possible and will be coordinated with the 911 Dispatch Manager Cindy Hanavan to reduce both noise and dust as the work takes place.

The project is expected to take about a week to complete.
