Resurfacing A Portion Of I-35 Begins Next Week

Resurfacing a portion of Interstate 35 in Daviess, Caldwell, and Dekalb Counties begins next week.  MoDOT contractor Herzog Contracting Corp. is awarded the project which extends from U.S. Route 69 in Daviess County near mile marker 68.6 to just north of Exit 52 in Cameron.   The project will be done in phases, beginning with three to four weeks of pavement repairs followed by milling, resurfacing, guardrail improvements, as needed, and shoulder work.  The concrete pavement repairs are scheduled to start on May 4th, and traffic will be reduced to a single lane in either direction during the work.

Workers will be present during daylight hours, Monday through Saturday, weather permitting. A 12-foot width restriction will be in place for the duration of the project, which is scheduled to be complete in mid-August.
