His art began as extra credit for his English teacher and for the next two months, he is the featured artist at the Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery.  Danny Shew from Princeton, Missouri, never thought of art as much more than a pastime until his freshman year of high school. He was granted extra credit for his Shakespearian literature posters, as requested by his English teacher. His art teacher asked if he had ever considered teaching art as a profession…

Shew sold his first painting as a junior in high school! He taught for 34 years and since retiring, he has continued to enjoy painting. He has expanded his materials include to not only canvas, but also wood, concrete, metal and turkey feathers!  He has displayed his artworks at many area art shows, fairs and exhibits and today, pieces of his art can be found in 43 different states!

Danny Shew’s paintings will be on display for the months of May and June, with a closing reception from 5-8:00 pm on June 24th.
