Chillicothe Police reports for Monday and the weekend.

 

Chillicothe Police Department responded to 93 calls for service Monday.  Some of the calls include:

9:24 am, Officers responded to an accident at Hedrick Medical Center.  A subject was attempting to park and accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake, striking the wall.  Minor injuries to two occupants and moderate damage to the structure were reported.

7:06 pm, Officers issued a citation after a child was bitten by a dog in the 200 block of E. Bridge Street.  A citation was issued for no valid vaccination.

 

Chillicothe Police handled 226 calls from Friday through Sunday.  Some of the calls include:

Friday

08:33 AM Officers were dispatched to the area near Commercial Street and Jackson Street for a 2-year-old laying in the street unsupervised. The parent of the juvenile was located and an investigation began for possible charges.

11:20 AM Officers responded to the 200 block of Herriford for a medical alert. Upon arrival, it was determined that the resident of the home had passed away from what appeared to be natural causes.  The Livingston Co Coroner’s Office was contacted.

03:54 PM Officers took a report of property damage as well as theft from a home in the 500 block of Webster Street. Officers identified the suspect and later located him while patrolling and took the suspect into custody. After being transported to the LEC for processing, the suspect began resisting officers and refused to enter the LEC. The suspect was additionally charged with resisting the arrest and was transported to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

Saturday:

10:47 PM  Officers responded to the 900 block of Fredrick Street for reports of narcotics being used and sold from a home with a young juvenile present. Officers investigated the allegations and determined that the juvenile was not in immediate danger. DFS has been contacted and will assist in further investigation.

Sunday:

09:34 PM Officer responded to a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of S Woodrow which resulted in the arrest of one adult male for domestic assault. The suspect was transported to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail on a 24 hour hold.
