Conservation Improvement Grant Workshop

Whether it’s for a few acres or a big farm, the Missouri Department of Conservation can provide expertise and connections to financial assistance for those seeking to improve wildlife habitat on their land.   A Free workshop about private land conservation services will be held October 22nd, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Platte County Community Center, in Parkville.

The MDC can help landowners connect with grants or cost-sharing programs that improve wildlife habitat. This includes native wildflowers planted in pollinator plots to benefit gamebirds, songbirds, butterflies, and other wildlife.  Timber stand improvement to help woodlands attract more deer and wild turkeys. Even field edges can be managed to improve soil and water conservation as well as boosting wildlife.

This workshop is open to all ages. Registration is required. To register, visit https://short.mdc.mo.gov/4p4.
