Student Safety Laminate Bid Accepted

The safety of students at Chillicothe Elementary School will be improved later this year as the Chillicothe R-II School Board approved a bid for bullet- and impact-resistant laminate to be applied to the interior windows of the classrooms.  Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says the school district is receiving financial assistance on this student safety issue from outside sources.

The total cost of the project is $140,000.  The remaining $65,000 will be billed after the start of the 2023/24 school year.
