Marilyn Kay Marshall (Ross)

Marilyn Marshall (Ross) of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away peacefully February 20, 2023.  The daughter of Kenneth A. and Maxine Ross (Cooper), Marilyn was born at the Culler’s Hospital in Trenton, Missouri on July 21, 1945. Her Grandparents were Raymond and Lydah Cooper and Lawrence and Amelia Ross. Marilyn is survived by her brother Steve Ross of Valley Center, California.

Marilyn grew up in the community of Half Rock, Missouri and attended the Lyon’s School.  She lived in Patterson, Idaho from 1956 until 1958 when the family returned to Princeton, Missouri.  She graduated from Princeton High School in 1964 and attended the Research Hospital School of Nursing for a year and worked for a short time at the Axtel Hospital in Princeton Missouri. She also attended the North Missouri Central College.  She was employed by the KCHI Radio Station in Chillicothe, Missouri.  Marilyn retired from the Midwest Glove Company in Chillicothe

She was married to the late Donnie Lafolette, and they had three children Mari Lynn, Shannon and Lydah Ann.  She was married to the Late “Red” Clark and to Chris Marshall.  Marilyn was proceeded is death by her son Shannon and her daughter Lydah Ann and her parents.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter Mari Lynn Wheeler, Grand Daughters Bonnie Maxine Portman, Tempeste Wheeler, and Carlie, and great-grandchildren, Scarlet, Violet, Jack, Grey, and Destin.

There will be a visitation held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
