The City Administrator for the City of Chillicothe has the authority to hire seasonal employees. The City Council was asked to consider an ordinance that, in the absence of the City Administrator, the hiring of seasonal employees may be approved by the Mayor, with the approval of the Councilman At Large.
Hirings for employees in the offices of City Clerk or City Auditor must also be made and approved by the office holder.
The council chose to table the ordinance to the next meeting for clarification by the city attorney.
