The first round of the MSHSAA Basketball Tournaments for Boys and Girls Classes 1 through 3 have been set following the District Tournament Championships.
In the KCHI area:
Class 1 Girls
District 14 Worth County beat Mercer 33-29 and will face Wellington-Napoleon, a 52-50 winner over Norborne girls. The game is Tuesday at 4:45pm in St Joseph.
District 12 Green City girls beat Brashear 56-29 and will face Tina-Avalon, a 53-45 winner over Hale girls. The game will be Tuesday at 8:30pm at Chillicothe High School.
Class 2 Boys
District 6 Milan boys remain unbeaten with a 60-44 win over Princeton. They will face Van Far in the state sectionals on Wednesday at 6:00pm in Hannibal.
Class 1 Boys
District 14 Pattonsburg boys beat Worth County 63-53 and will face undefeated Winston, a 87-46 winner over Wellington. The game will be Tuesday at 3:00pm at St Joseph
District 12 Linn County boys beat La Plata 56-42 for the district title and will face Slater, a 53-51 winner over Meadville. The game will be Tuesday at 6:00pm at Chillicothe High School.
Class 3 Girls
St Pius X beat Maryville 47-39 and faces St Michael Archangel, a 56-54 overtime winner over KC Hogan Prep. The game will be Wednesday at 7:45pm at Excelsior Springs HIgh School.
Trenton girls beat Chillicothe 46-25 and faces Monroe City, a 54-53 winner over #1 seed Palmyra. The game is Wednesday at 8:15pm at Moberly Area Community College.
Class 3 Boys
Maryville boys beat St Pius X 74-57 and faces St Michael the Archangel, a 78-74 winner over University Academy Charter. The game is Wednesday at 6:00pm at Excelsior Springs High School.
