Resurfacing Washington Street

A resurfacing of Washington Street in Chillicothe will begin next week.  The Missouri Department of Transportation will do a scrub seal and micro surface through Chillicothe, and that will take about a month to complete.  Area Engineer Randy Mendenhall says preliminary work is taking place now.

Mendenhall says next week there will be various stages of work.

He says the project is scheduled to be primarily in the overnight hours, from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.  The resurfacing will be from just north of County Road 228 to US 36.

In addition to the resurfacing in Chillicothe, the contractor will also resurface a portion of Highway 11 near Brookfield.  Both projects are expected to be fully complete in mid-August.
