Drought Conditions Greatly Improved In The Local Area

Drought conditions are all but gone for much of the KCHI listening area, but there are parts of the area that are listed as “Abnormally Dry,” but are greatly improved from two weeks ago, just before the flooding.  Livingston County Farm Service Agency Director Jeanette Straker says some livestock producers, especially those in the areas designated “Abnormally Dry,” are still cautious as the winter months approach.

The National Weather service seasonal outlooks show the drought conditions should continue to improve as we head into the winter months.  The three month outlook shows near normal precipitation chances and slightly above normal temperatures for the state of Missouri.
