The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report includes a several investigations and a few arrests.
Deputies completed an investigation from September of possible child abuse where a young child had a head injury. Investigation included assistance from the Child Advocacy Center and Children’s division. A report was submitted to the prosecuting attorney.
A theft investigation began October 19th. License plates were reported stolen from a vehicle in Utica.  Further investigation showed the victim’s license plates were actually on a car owned by someone else which was down the road. The investigation continues as we attempt to locate the primary suspect.
On the 20th, a traffic stop on Route C for an expired plates resulted in a citation for expired plates and Possession of Marijuana.
The 21st, an Endangering the Welfare of a Child investigation was completed. A parent knowingly allowed a very young child to remain in a child sex offenders home, where the child slept with the offender and their spouse.  A reported was submitted to the prosecuting attorney.
Tuesday, deputies began an investigation of a stolen vehicle which had been abandoned due to mechanical problems. The vehicle was left on US 36 near Mooresville junction the previous week. Â And was gone when they went to retrieve the vehicle.
There are three arrests in the report
October 18th, deputies arrested 26 year old Joseph Anthony Bartz in Ludlow, on a Linn County arrest warrant for alleged Non-Support, total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments.
Monday, deputies arrested 57 year old Randy Wayne Adair of Chillicothe on a Livingston County warrant for alleged Failing to Register as a Sex Offender. He is held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of bond.
Tuesday, 51 year old Steven Kent Depee of Chillicothe surrendered on a warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on original Supplying Liquor to Minor. He posted bond and was released.
