Chillicothe Police Report For New Year’s Eve

The Chillicothe Police Department had 77 calls for service on New Year’s Eve.  Chief Jon Maples says the calls include:

7:51am, Officers responded to the 400 block of Madison Street for a suspicious vehicle. They found a vehicle had been abandoned.

At 3:50 pm, Officers were called to the 900 block of Trenton Street for an animal abuse complaint.  While at the home the officers found no sign of animal abuse, but a strong odor of suspected marijuana was coming from the people at the home. The Officers confronted the resident who stated that she had been smoking marijuana but did not allow officers to search the home. Officers contacted the Livingston County Prosecutor to obtain a search warrant, but the prosecutor was unavailable at the time to process the request.

11:15 pm Officers responded to the 1600 block of Rosewood Lane to check the well-being of an individual. Officers contacted the individual’s grandmother who stated that everything was ok.

Offices made numerous traffic stops to deter driving while intoxicated due to the holiday.
