The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department K9, Zaki, has a new partner. Sheriff Steve Cox announced Deputy Nicholas Leadbetter has been assigned as K-9 handler for the Sheriff’s Office. Cox says Leadbetter is an excellent and hardworking deputy sheriff for the county and excels in many areas including criminal investigations and drug enforcement.
Deputy Leadbetter has been working with Zaki since Deputy Mueller announced his resignation in December. Cox says Deputy Leadbetter is excited for this opportunity and he has no doubt that they will do an outstanding job together.
