Chillicothe Police Had A Busy Monday

The Chillicothe Police Department was busy Monday with several calls and assisting motorists in the community.

At about 6:35 am, Officers attempted to locate a person that was reported to have made suicidal threats. The person was found a short time later and the situation was resolved.

12:09 pm, Officers assisted a stranded motorist in the 300 block of South Washington Street.

12:30 pm, Officers spoke with a resident on the phone in reference to child custody issues.

At 3:20 pm, Officers were responded to HMC Emergency Room for a patient brought to the hospital after a vehicle crash, who was in possession of a firearm. The patient had a CCW permit. Firearms are not allowed at the hospital, so the Officer took custody of the firearm until the man is released.

4:30 pm, Officers responded to a report of stealing from a business in the 500 block of Business Hwy 36.

5:55pm, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of Mansur Street. The incident was determined to be verbal and no arrests were made.

7:10 pm, Officers took a call of a male at a residence in the 1400 block of Clay Street with a knife and threatening to harm himself. Officers found the male was in possession of a knife but made no threats to harm himself or anyone else. Due to the nature of the report, the male was transported voluntarily to HMC for treatment and evaluation.
