Brookfield Police arrested two suspects and confiscated a large quantity of alleged methamphetamine Monday. A search warrant was executed in the 700 block of South Main, resulting in officers recovered multiple pieces of alleged drug paraphernalia and several caches of a crystal-like substance that would field-test positive for methamphetamine. The total weight of the crystal-like substance was approximately 73 grams with a “street value” of over $5800.00. Officers also seized multiple cell phones and US currency.
They also arrested 36-year-old Gary Smith of Brookfield and 32-year-old Tiffany Mayfield of Marceline. They are both charged with alleged Trafficking 1st Degree.
The Brookfield Police Department was assisted by the North Missouri Drug Task Force and the Linn County Prosecuting Attorney.
