A call for someone that was attempting to kill themselves summoned Livingston County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Steve Cox says he and two deputies arrived with the Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services and were told by the person they had taken several pills and then chose to be non-compliant with and resist the officers.
The person was transported to the hospital where they became more aggressive toward law enforcement. The person was telling the deputies they wanted to kill parents, their children and law enforcement officers present.
The person was later transported by court order for further treatment. Two LCSO employees had placed the individual in the caged area of a patrol vehicle and both were assigned to transport that person. The person worked themselves out of handcuffs multiple times and was acting in a way they had to be further restrained.
